Movies@ The Square has issued a public message of appreciation to healthcare workers at Tallaght University Hospital (TUH), announcing a complimentary cinema passes offer in recognition of staff who worked through the Christmas and New Year period.
In a social media post published on 2 January 2026, Movies@ The Square said the gesture was made “on behalf of” the cinema and the wider Tallaght community, and thanked TUH staff for caring for “families and friends” over the holiday period.
The message adds to a broader pattern of local businesses and community organisations using public platforms to acknowledge the realities of winter service pressures and the sustained presence of frontline teams during peak holiday leave periods.
TUH is one of Ireland’s largest teaching hospitals, based in south-west Dublin and partnered with Trinity College Dublin. The hospital employs over 3,000 staff and delivers acute and tertiary care across a large catchment area.
Staff who wish to avail of the passes should present their hospital ID. Each staff is entitled to one ticket and is valid from 7th January to 7th February 2026.
