Missing midwife (Grace Benyin): Investigation continues after body found near Clonmel

Gardaí are still seeking the public’s assistance in tracing Grace Benyin (36), who has been reported missing from Clonmel, Co. Tipperary. Gardaí and Grace’s family have said they are concerned for her wellbeing. 

In a separate development, Gardaí have also launched an investigation after the discovery of a woman’s body in the countryside outside Clonmel. At the time of reporting, Gardaí have not publicly confirmed any link between that discovery and Grace Benyin’s disappearance. 

What Gardaí have confirmed about the missing person appeal

According to An Garda Síochána’s missing persons notice, Grace Benyin was last seen in Clonmel during the morning of Friday, 21 November 2025. 

Grace is described by Gardaí as:

  • Age: 36
  • Height: approximately 5’8”
  • Hair: black
  • Eyes: brown 

Update: investigation after body found outside Clonmel

The Gardaí has begun an investigation following the discovery of a woman’s body in a rural area near Clonmel, close to the Holy Year Cross, after it was found by a member of the public. The area was sealed off for examination, and a post-mortem being carried out to assist the investigation. 

There has been no official identification released publicly linking the remains to Grace Benyin. The Garda missing-person appeal remains live.
