HSE Integrated Healthcare Conference 2026: What to Expect Today

The HSE Integrated Healthcare Conference 2026 takes place today, Thursday, 3 September, at the Convention Centre Dublin, bringing together around 2,000 healthcare professionals, leaders, patient representatives and service providers from across Ireland.

Held under the theme “Delivering Integrated Care Together,” the conference will focus on how health services can work more effectively across hospitals, community care, primary care, mental health and other services.

Senior health leaders, including HSE CEO Anne O’Connor, HSE Board Chair Sir Ciarán Devane and Minister for Health Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD, are expected to take part in the programme.

Key areas of discussion include integrated care, mental health, digital health, waiting lists, emergency care, community-based services, health inequalities and healthcare productivity.

Frontline innovation will also feature strongly, with healthcare teams presenting quality-improvement projects and examples of new approaches to service delivery.

For nurses, the conference offers an opportunity to explore how integrated care could affect everyday clinical practice, multidisciplinary working, patient transitions and the delivery of care closer to home.

The event is also expected to provide significant networking opportunities, bringing together clinicians, managers, researchers, patient representatives and healthcare innovators.

The Irish Nurse will follow the conference and highlight key announcements, innovations, and lessons emerging from the event.
