The opportunity
Community Healthcare Donegal is seeking a senior nursing leader for a Band 2A director post in disability services. The role sits within an integrated area providing primary care, social inclusion, disability, mental health and health and wellbeing services.
The successful candidate will bring clinical leadership and substantial management experience to a service supporting people with intellectual disabilities. The post requires strategic oversight, sound governance and the ability to lead safe, person-centred services through operational and organisational change.
Essential eligibility
Applicants must be registered, or eligible to register, in the Intellectual Disability Division of the NMBI register. They must have at least ten years’ post-registration intellectual disability nursing experience and five years’ nursing management experience at CNM2 level or above. At least three of those management years must have been in an intellectual disability setting immediately before the closing date.
Candidates must also hold a relevant major Level 8 award or higher, or provide formal evidence of equivalent ECTS achievement, in healthcare or management. Live annual NMBI registration and the HSE Patient Safety Assurance Certificate are required on appointment.
